Connection at the rear of ts-590s

Post by Hugovoodoo2012 »

Hello

I would like if possible to give me a hand with the audio connection on the back of my Ts-590. I wonder how it is done and if you need to do some internal changes or not as the Ts-870.

Thank you 73's

TS-590

Greetings. There is a cable for the acc2 port you can get on e-bay: Kenwood Interface Adapter DC-02P. I use one on my 870. Works great! No hassles trying to solder up one yourself. Menu settings as follows: 27 & 28 set your TX bandwidth, 63 set to ACC2 (should be set already by default), 66 sets the input level (default is 4 but adjust for proper ALC). Hopes this helps and I just realized this was an old post so maybe this info will be useful to someone else using the 590. 73.

Hello all

I have the Kenwood Interface Adapter DC-02P but when I plug it into the back of the acc2 port and turn on the Kenwood TS-590s the speaker makes like a machine gun sound and sounds like ther's a conflict.

Has anyone else had this problem and could suggest something to help fix it please.

Many thanks

Bob

Hello all

All fixed, it was a short on the ground pin 4, had to re-solder it working 100% now :)

Cheers
Bob
