Behringer t1952

Post by SM4J »

Hi folks, My DEQ2496 broke down, and I am looking for some new stuff for my shack! The new EQ will be the Behringer T1952. I am now looking for a compressor. How about the T1952 Tube Compressor? Anyone using the T1952? What do you have to say about this compressor?
Other units are Mic: TSM Muneo, Mic pre amp MIC2200, and REV 2496.
Have Fun!! //Peter SM4J/SM4PEL

Howdy Peter!!
Welcome to the Forum!!!

We have never had that compressor hear.
We did have the matching Mic Pre and it was prone to RFI pretty bad.
Also the Tubes in the unit are mainly for SHOW and not GO.
They use Starved Plate Voltage technology of about 30 volts on the Plates of these tubes.
It should be about 150 volts.
Needless to say the effect that the tubes give the audio mix is less then spectacular.

Terrific choice in Microphones!!!!!!
We have not found another Mic that even comes close to the TSM Muneo!
It is almost Perfect. 8)

Well i agree about the tubes in the 1953 , I also have the mic2200 but i like the sound better in the T1953 :D i never had any problems with RF so far, had this unit for a year now running 1.5 Kw.
