Yes, looks good doesn't it?

Set up at the moment is:
SoundProjects T3 tube microphone, changed the mic element and the tube from factory tube to a ECC83 Telefunken smooth plate.
EQ TL-Audio Ivory 5013
Bellari RP 520
Bellari RP583
Bellari RP 582
All the tubes in the four items above were changed to 5751 (not every tube is a RCA Command though), OpAmps in Bellari’s were also changed, according modifications on this website.
Behringer EX 3200
TC Electronics Triple C, caps and OpAmps modified according instructions on WZ5Q.
Audio goes into the back of the modified TS870.

Received some MP3 sound clips, made from my transmission, from a UK station and must say: it sounded even better than I had expected. UK station was also into ESSB and could definitely hear "the bottles" in the audio.

Still on the wish list is an RP 533, Bellari's are very rare here in Europe. There is a German website that sells the 533, (now hold firmly on to your chair) price in US dollars is $.1,260

I like the RP 533 a lot, but not THAT much

Is ther lot of sound different between the 5751 and.

COMMAND RCA 6201 12AT7 WA RODS BLACK PLATE.

A nice video on YouTube, testing the 12AX7 tube, amazing difference in some brands.
(Warning: after watching this video you probably won't enjoy a certain Gary Moore track any longer  )

It has to do with "microphonics"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microphonics
Triple mica means that the tube has an extra support plate of mica inside the tube and this helps to prevent microphonics (noise).

Here is a nice video on that subject.

If you google audiotubes.com in youtube or the internet you will find more video's on the subject of tubes.

(This video is very nice/instructional as well)

Cheers,

Chris
