Behringer DSP1124p upgrade

Post by YO3IBW »

Hello everyone!

I have a question for you experienced ones in the audio toys for high quality ssb. Does it worth the money to buy a Behringer DSP1124p and use it as an EQ that replace the one I use at this time (Behringer MiniFBQ 800, 9 band graphic EQ)? Would it make a visible difference?

Thanks for the answer,
Cheers!

Hi, Dan
Nice to have you here!

In my opinion, YES it does.
Because you will be able to chose much more frequencies then you have now and the bandwidth control as well.

Howdy Dan!
So glad to have you on the forum!!!

Rui is absolutely correct.
You will not only have the ability to have memories to store different EQ curves for experimentation, but it will give you so much more control over frequency selection, Bandwidth, and gain.
It will also give you 12 filters to play with instead of only 9 bands.

It is a definite improvement.

Thanks for the fast reply and for the welcome on this forum. I'm seriously thinking to get a DSP1124p but for the moment the Behringer supplier in Bucharest/Romania doesn't have it in the store and will be available in two weeks so I have a lot of time to study.
My audio equipment in this moment is B1 Microphone, Shark DSP110 as a noise-gate and preamp, MiniFBQ800 as the EQ and on the end a MiniCom800 Modeling Compressor. Things are quite OK I guess the next improvement will be the EQ...
