RODE PROCASTER...

Post by whiskeyjack »

Has anyone else played with one of these?
I have just picked one up so i'll let you know how I go on :)

A pal of mine uses one and says he prefers it over the Heil PR40 which he tested it against side by side and reading the specs it certainly has everything going for it at a damn good price with a 10 year warranty !

Howdy Whiskeyjack,
That mic looks promising, but we haven't had one here for any testing.
Do you have any more 'real world' data on your friends mic?
Hows it working for him?

That's a shame your friend has 'sold out'.

Well, We would like to know how the Low End Resonance sounds compared to a RE-20. Also how bright and clear the Top End is. What kind of transmitter are you using with yours and your W2IHY stuff?

Do you have any recordings from one of your friends on a TS-870 or a Flex that we could listen too?

Selling out is bad (unless you absolutely had to--like I did). But this Audio stuff is like a high-priced hooker that you keep falling in love with... When you think you'll never unbuckle your pants for that amazing broad, she uncovers a little more of her sexiness, taunting you for a return... Of course, she whispers promises to make it even better than the last time...'cause she'll do it "special" just for you...

I will re-open the topic with a question. Do you consider an upgrade this dynamic microphone (RODE PROCASTER) for the Behringer B1 condenser microphone?
