Well before I sent my brand new DEQ-2496 back for a problem, a friend told me how to fix it.
My DEQ-2496 developed a weird problem after a day or so, it would sporadically power down then back up again. I knew it had to be a power issue of some sorts.
Well a friend told me to open the unit up and put electrical tape on the bottom of the main board over all of the solder points. I opened it up and couldn't see where it might have been shorting so I put some 3M double sided trim tape about 1mm thick over all of the solder points and left the plastic over the second side of the adhesive.
Hasn't reset since and works perfectly, so if you have one or get one and it develops a problem like this, its an easy fix !!!
