Hex Fred Replacement?,....HFA04TB60PBF-ND

Post by XLAXX »

Well, I received all the parts from Digikey to do the EX3200 mod EXCEPT for the HexFreds which were due on 7/10/10. I just received an email from Digikey stating that they were backlogged on the HexFreds for 8 wks and then changed it to 5/6/2011!
My EX3200 is completely pulled apart and will be so for some time unless I can find a replacement value for the Hex Freds that are recommended on this site,... I really do not want to wait a year for these $2 parts!
Can anyone suggest a replacement value or part for the HFA04TB60PBF-ND?
Would anyone on the site have some extra parts lying around that they would consider selling at a reasonable price? If so, please send me a PM.

Thanks

It seams that all the sources for these are waiting on orders.
If you are in the US, then you can use the Stealth Diode from Fairchild P/N ISL9R460PF2 which is a 4amp 600V diode. It is supposed to be a better diode then the Hexfred, but we have never tried them. You can get them from Online Components:

If your in Europe, then you can get the HFA04TB60PBF Hexfred from Farnell in the UK, but they only have a few left:

Much thanks for the info.

I saw the Farnell link but shipping from the UK might be expensive with the minimum order and all.

The Stealth(s) might be interesting to try out.
