hello every one. i am new on the site just had a question,can i voodoo my icom-746 pro do you guys have any info for me please..ps. you guys sound great. :

With the 746PRO you will be limited to 2.9KHz on the top end and (I beleve) 80Hz at the otheR if fed through the BM. tif fed that way that radio can sound real nice (but not quite VooDoo quality). You can still be very happy once you setup and tweak correctly--I've only heard two 746PROs that floored me in the past 5 years.

Unfortunately, there are no mods to increase the bandwidth for the 746PRO that we know of.

Icom brickwalls their radios that have DSP in the IF stage.No known methods to make it go beyond 2.9 khz on transmit but as !KANT stated,it will go about 80hz on the lowend fed through the back.

You can put audio into the 8 pin accessory 1 jack on the back of the radio thus bringing the low end down.A friend of mine just did it for his rig and it makes a difference.
