Kenwood TS-2000
Greetings.I would like to feed the audio through the back.
Does it need the same capacitor
modification as the TS-870?

Howdy and Welcome to the Forum!!!
Unfortunately, we have not had the pleasure to play with the TS-2000 so we're unsure as to the need for that mod.
Just guessing, there is more then likely a cap inline with the rear input that would have to be changed.
This is the 'Standard Procedure' most manufactures use when injecting data into the Audio stream.
Look at the schematic and see if there is a low value capacitor in line with the audio path, it would be something like a .1 or .01mfd.
This would need to be changed to a 1 or 4.7mfd.
Let us all know what you find!
Take Care,

Sorry for the delay. The audio is now fed through the Acc2 con.It does not appear to have any degradation in the audio as I can hear but I will need to make contact with someone with graphing abilities to do an A/B comparison. This is how I have it wired using the XLR cable coming from the Behringer DI 100 to the 13 pin din plug:
XLR pin 1&3 to pin 12(ground),pin 2 to pin 11(audio).Use pins 9 for transmit(do not use pin 13)and pin 4 for ground using your favorite type of plug(I`m using a 1/4" mono jack)then plug in your hand or foot switch and enunciate!By the way,Buxcomm sells 13 pin plugs pre-wired for around $10 for those not proficient in close pin soldering.

Some additional info.Menu 50B
controls the audio input.I have noticed a spike showing on my scope when I key up and a friend can hear it too.I run menu 50B at 4 and any higher than that increases the spike and lowering it will decrease it but it also lowers the audio.May have something to do being that the acc2 jack being a TNC input port.
