New Chain Setup

Hi Guy's

So I've just picked up a DEQ2496 and at the moment I've got my ESSB chain setup as

Behringer B-1 mike connected to

Behringer MIC 2200 (ch1 in & ch1 out)

connected to

Behringer MDX 2200 (ch1 in & ch1 out)

connected to

Behringer EX 3200 (ch1 in & ch2 out)

connected to

Behringer DSP 1124P (ch1 in & ch2 out)

connected to

Behringer MDX 2200 (ch2 in & ch2 out)

Connected to

Behringer XENYX 802

Everything works very well in the chain above.

So in the chain above where would or should I connect the DEQ2496 ?? I've used NU9N's information on setting the DEQ2496 up so far and will do the setting more when I have everything setup in the chain.

The software version for the DEQ2496 is 2.2 and if anyone has an up todate settings list please pass it on to me or even a video of there settings on the DEQ2496.

Hope someone can help with this last bit of equipment getting setup in my chain

Thanks
Rob

Greetings from Chicago
Here is my suggestion for your rack chain.
mic220. Use as a micro pre
mdx220. Use as expander gate only
mdx220. Use as a compressor only. Or double up with above
deq2496. Use as a eq and all audio shaping
ex3200. Use for bass / dynamics processing
dsp2024. Future. For some light plating
xenyx802. Mixer

Not sure what purpose a dsp1124p feedback destroyer is used for.
Maybe you used it for you eq not sure.
If you have any feed back this must be removed with gain levels or other .
IMOP leave it out for now.

Try using only one mdx220 for both purposes noise gate & compressor.

I would add in the future a separate compressor only just before the eq 2496

Have fun!!!

Just to check Ray the connections would be

mic220. Use as a micro pre ( In ch1 out ch1 )
mdx220. Use as expander gate only ( In ch1 out ch1 )
mdx220. Use as a compressor only. Or double up with above ( In ch1 out ch1 )
deq2496. Use as a eq and all audio shaping ( In ch1 out ch1 )
ex3200. Use for bass / dynamics processing ( In ch1 out ch1 in ch2 out ch2) ( out to the Mixer)
( dsp2024. Future. For some light plating )
xenyx802. Mixer

Hope thats the way to connect them together ???

Rob , you are on your way to audio bliss !!👍
As a side note check out the special cable required for your EX3200 .
The channel 1 output to channel 2 input Cable is explained in details on this web site.

Have fun and keep us updated how it's going.
There is lots of good info here to be found.
