Hello to you all.

I am a newbie to this enhanced audio and voodoo stuff, but fast learner.

I have read many website's info and done lots of google searches.

I would like to know the best order to connect these equipment as this is going to be my first audio setup.


Behringer B1 Microphone
Behringer Ultragain pro MIC2200 Microphone Tube Preamp
Behringer Multicom Pro-xL MDX4600 Audio Dynamics Processor
Behringer ULTRAMIZER PRO DSP1424P 24-bit digital Enhancer
I-BOX


My station is Kenwood TS2000 with Behringer B1 Microphone.I like to play
and listen to some good sideband audio on the air, but not too sure
how to connect all these equipment for the first time so please go slow and help me out here.

Welcome to the Forum!

The Microphone and the Mic Preamp are good starters for your new Audio setup, as well as the MDX4600 for dynamic control (compression).

We are not to familiar with the DSP1424P as we have never had one here to play with but it seems to do everything the MDX4600 will do in spades. It seems the DSP1424P has multi-band compression among a whole host of other goodies.

One of the most important pieces you are missing from your setup is an EQ.

The best order would be the:

B1 Mic
MIC2200
Your choice of EQ
DSP1424 or MDX4600
IBox

This would be a good starting point.

There are lots of similar setups on this forum, look back on the threads and see how they were implemented.
