tl audio eq 2 help
hi jon here does anyone have any info on set for my tl audio eq 2 heres my mental issue ha ha ive got it inline with all my other stuff ive been getting help from some great guys on setting and where to start,me being new to this i cant understand the terms of what octave is/freq/gain and so on in other words on my tl eq2 i have LF LM HM HF with knobs ha ha i dont know which one is octave /freq/ gain / an so on the gain cotrol is on the far left i know what that is for i also have a knob on the right of each filter with no id on it i think it bandwidth but not sure can anybaod help me decipher what each knob means in layman terms till i learn more thank for any help to this new lost in the spectrum somewhere dude thanks jon..

Howdy Jon,
On your EQ2....
Guess we can just go across the front of Channel 1 on the EQ2.
Instrument Input - This is wear you would plug your guitar or keyboard into.
MIC/HI -- LINE/LO push button - This is what selects the XLR Mic/Line inputs in the rear of the unit.
48V Push Button - This turns ON and OFF the Phantom Power required by some microphones.
GAIN Control - This controls the Input Gain of the Channel 1.
LF CUT push button - This turns ON or OFF the Low Frequency Cut.
LF CUT Frequency Control - this adjusts the frequency at were the Low Frequencies are cut at.
HF CUT push button - This turns ON or OFF the High Frequency Cut.
HF CUT Frequency Control - this adjusts the frequency at were the High Frequencies are cut at.
LF push buttons - The button on the left selects either Peak or Shelving type filtering for the Low Frequency Filter. The button on the right turns the Low Frequency Filter ON or OFF.
LF Gain Control - This selects the Gain of the Low Frequency Filter from -15dB to +15dB.
LF Frequency Control - This selects were the Center Frequency point of the Low Frequency Filter will be from 30hz to 3Kc.
LF Q Control - This is the "Q" Width Control which sets the Bandwidth of the Low Frequency filter from .5 Octave at Full CCW to 5 Octaves at Full CW.
