behringer vx2000 settings?

Hi,I could do with help with the settings on my vx2000.
I have set the built in eq's at zero because I run an eq afterwards.
It's the other things i'm stuck with like -
the tube emulation?
octo de-esser?
compressor?
frequency the discreet input should be?
