New To Excellant Audio

Post by N2WFk »

Hello,

Im new to the group and my name is Chris (N2WFK) and i live in Southern New Jersey. I currently own a Late model(90mil serial number) Kenwood TS-870S and three behringer pieces. The pieces are as follows:
-Behringer PROMIC2200
-Behringer DSP 1124P
-Behringer MDX2200 composser

Also recently purchased a MXL 990 mic. The pieces i bought i got at a great price through ebay but none came with manuals. I have downloaded manuals through Behringer but was curious to see some basic settings i could get from you guys that have been running this stuff for some time now.

After reading some of the manuals i feel like im still lost.....lol. Just looking to get some basic settings to begin using what i have and then beable to tweek it to my own voice.

ANY HELP WOULD BE AWESOME........THANKS
This site has been so helpfull in the pieces i bought...THANKS

Howdy Chris!!
Welcome to the forum!

For fear of sounding callous and repetitive, there are allot of beginning EQ curves to start with already posted on this forum.
Just start looking through the past posts and try the settings given.
Most will be a great starting point for you.
The general starting process is to cut the mids and slightly boost the highs and Lows.
The secret is NOT TOO MUCH on the boosting!
There are key frequencies to target also.
Another good resource is John's website at http:/www.nu9n.com
Good Luck and please keep us posted on your progress!
and THANKS for the complements on the site!! :P
