I'M NEW TO THIS FORUM, PLEASE BE GENTLE.
I HAVE A TS-2000X , AND A HEIL GOLDLINE GM5. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY AM AUDIO UP WITHOUT THE PROCESSOR?
THANKS FOR ANY INFO!

Never had that rig
Hmmmmm....
Unfortunately, We have never had that rig.
But with most Low Level Modulation rigs,
The trick is not to run too much carrier.
You should only use about 1/4 of the PEP of the rig for carrier.
In other words, lets say the rig can put out 100 watts,
The most carrier you want to output is 25 watts.
Then you set the Audio to modulate that 25 watts for a PEP of 100 watts.
So when your not talking the scope (or watt meter) should show 25 watts.
When you talk into the mic, the scope (or watt meter) should then show the PEP power to peak at 100watts. This is at 100% modulation.
Unfortunately most of the Low level Modulation rigs can not modulate up to 100%.
Especially when running close to stock audio gear.
The most that some can get is only around 75%, especially the DSP controlled ones.
So the PEP might only be around 80 watts.
If you have a linear amplifier, that is a good way to get the power up.
Hope this helps,
