First hi to all on the site.
I have a yaesu ft1000 mp mk5 and i use a heil pr40 mic, i have read the post on doing mods to the mk5 and i dont want to try that in case i mess it up.
So is it worth tring to improve my audio by using beringer dsp and the like or should i just use what i have.
Sorry my first post is a question.
Thanks.
George.

We think that the best audio balance for the bandwidth is the way to go.
Some people go thru 10 microphones to try and get that perfect match of balance with their Voice, Rig and Mic.
Really all you need is a full range mic and an EQ to get the same effect.
Of course the extra units all add their sonic signature to the mix.
It's allot of fun, not to mention work, to get that perfect balance.
Take care,
