Hi y'all Audio Heads and Audio Gurus!

Been playing audio for many months now and am contemplating upgrading from a Behringer mic preamp MIC2200 to something better! Now, I keep reading a lot about gear with tubes in it making a big difference, Bellari, comes to mind but I don't want to shell out that kind of money for a pre-amp right now

What would y'all suggest might be alternatives with the above in mind?

Cheers!

Art Pro MPA II. I plan on getting one when my 2200 gives up the ghost.

Hi,

Appreciate the feedback. As I wrote, I don't want to fork out the cash for a Bellari right now although from what I read it is the McCoy....

Cheers!

I believe Dave is referring to the preamp EH makes that uses the ay7 tube. Another neat little unit is the Bellari MP-105 that is no longer made but can be had if you search. They mount the tube externally for easy tube rolling. Bellari 220 can be found usually reasonable too.

Hi Mike,

OK on Dave's posting. You're probably right.

Both of those Bellaris are for sale on eBay just now......and the Electro Harmonix too.

Cheers!
