Wasn't sure...

Post by WA2E »

I wasn't sure where to post a first post. I've been listening to superb audio for awhile. Well, not since the bands took a dump and poor Bill ONV passed away. Finally, I bought some audio gear, a DBX 286A and a Behringer 1124. Recently purchased an Electro Voice RE20. I always wanted one of those. Lately I know the bands haven't been good but c'mon I hear nothing on 178. Where is everyone? Oh, all the gear is going to a FT-1000MP MKV Field. I plan on doing some mods but haven't done them yet.

I hope to have some com with N2QN for tips.

That's my story for now. Thanks for the site.

Howdy Mike,
Welcome to the Forum!!!
So glad to have you here.

Yes, the Bands are in the toilet for sure, there has been some Sporadic E on 10 meters that has been fun.
What a tease!!!
We think that all the Audio Heads are just waiting out there for the Bands to get right.
Most of the wide banders are on 75 meter at night.
For the 9 landers try 3630 early evening.
And when were on (very seldom) , from 3810 to 3850 REAL late, early morning.

Congratulations on getting your rack gear and the best Dynamic Mic of all time, the RE-20. That should make some real good Audio for you.

When you yak at him, tell that reprobate Ozzie that we said Hey!!
It's been awhile (years!) since we heard him on the air.

Take Care,
