Anyone tried Rode NT1 or AKG C214?

Hi y'all!
Obviously, this question may not make sense as we all have different natural speaking voices, radios, racks etc. However, I am contemplating (will NOT spend more than $300) getting a good condenser mic and am now looking at NT1 from Rode and AKG C214. I've read postings about MXL mics too but somehow I am leaning towards the NT1 (made in Australia).
Using TS870, feeding audio in through the back ACCs (cap mode done) and Behringer outboard gear.
Sure would be interested in getting comments!!!
