Well Voodoo Dudes,

After having the 870 for a while I have started adding some gear. I will lay out the chain to this point and then my question is, where to next.

Well, as I said, I have the TS-870, I also have in line:

MXL 990 Powered by the Behringer 802
Behringer Ultrafex 3200
Tapco SQ2 Limiter gate compressor
Korg KME-56 Graphic EQ

That's all I have for now. Next I will put a Virtualizer Pro and then I will take out the Korg and put a PEQ 2200 in there instead.

After that ??? I dont know, but I dont have the resources to just buy what I want when I want to. I am a ranch hand in Montana

So.. In the Behringer beer budget what could be added or should be added??

Thanks all

CAL

Howdy Craig,
It sounds like you are coming along nicely with the gear!
You seem to be getting some good advice as we would suggest to substitute a Parametric for the Graphic EQ.
But as you said you are going to do that.
For now, what you have should be good.
We would suggest you get what you have sounding as good as possible then maybe later, add something else.
Or better yet, if your not going into the ACC2 in the rear of the 870, do the C131 Mod and input your audio there.
You will get way more Clarity and Frequency Extension.
Also the order of the units will change the Sonics.
This is the order we would suggest:

MXL990
Beringer 802
Korg EQ (or parametric when acquired)
Behringer EX3200 (setup for Voodoo)
Tapco Compressor
Virtualizer 2024p

OK Good Luck!!!!

More, more, more, Howdaya like it, howdaya like it

Well,,,,

Got the chain to it's first incarnation

MXL 990
Behringer 802
Composer Pro 2200
PEQ 2200
EX 3200
Virtualizer Pro 2024

After messing around for a bit with the levels all the roughness and Essing is leveled out and there are no RF issues.

Next will probably be a new Mic. I might have to buck up and get a RE-20 or Sennheiser who knows, for now all I need to do is run the junk for a while, get my voodoo legs under me and see where I need to walk to next.

Well, with the gear up and running I hope to run into the Voodoo dudes soon
