Tonight!

Well, didn't hear any of you guys tonight...but talked for a couple of hours to some closer in guys... on 3927. Band kept staying close, but started going a bit long, and then moving back in close around 0100. Kyp, On the Bit chat. I was typing away, and you weren't 'hearing' me...I think you had yo...

Re: Damn.. You guys are evil...

HAHAHHA.. But I'll tell you what, I'm real tempted to build a tube mic preamp... like a Altec 1566A... I think you should....it looks fairly simple...if you have the time...and while you are at it...build two...as I would like one to add to my Pre Collection! http://www.noizehole.com/diy/PB200024.J...

Mic Bonaza

Telefunken USA has been getting alot of press lately...and deservedly so...

I wish I could afford some of their higher end stuff....I might be able to stretch and pick up one of their AK47 or M16's.

Check 'em out and don't droll on your keyboard too much!

My Son, Scotty and Uncle Ted's Dog Eat Dog

We've been working on a cover of Uncle Ted's tune, Dog Eat Dog, for a compilation CD. So far, Scotty has done almost all of the playing! I wasn't originally planning on doing this..but he's gotten pretty damn good, and I thought it would be sorta cool! Tonight we were doing some quick overdubs for t...

I don't care HOW bloody much EQ U use, a 57 will NEVER sound like a U87! Hell, not even a Shure SM7b, or a PR40, or even a PR20! I have a box full of cheap ribbons mics that will blow a 57 out of the water, and I don't care if you have a $30,000 EQ! I still beg to DIFFER. The reason.....because of ...

I just NEVER see a reason to have a sm57 with today's variety of mics. Years ago...yes...today...NO @#$& WAY!

Can U tell I HATE sm57? Yes I do...almost as much a music encoded with mP3 algorithms! :P

Re: Mic Question

Mike, I have a sure 57. Has anyone tried this mic for voodoo that you know of? it is the music industry standard for vocals. Just a thought, I still have the Audio-Technica AT-4033. Let me know what you think. God Bless & Love, Kyp You're NOT going to like what I think of the 'infamous' sm57! :shoc...

Re: Future Expansion

Hej Scot, Yes You could do it that way, But We like too separate them to give more expandability for the future. Like the inevitable question of an exciter, either a 3200 or Aphex 204 (or something similar) and where to place it. Lots of different combinations are possible using it like this. Hej S...

Re: Howdy!!

Howdy Gio!! Welcome to the Voodoo Forum. We guess the way that we would try it first would be in this order: DEQ-2496 - Channel 1 (using the PEQ for parameteric eq) DEQ-2496 - Channel 2 (using the DEQ for multiband compression) Mike, Curious as the reason for looping through both channels, instead ...

Hopefully you can get on tonight. Love to hear what you've done to the rig.
