Nice! You have a good (read "cheap") source for transformers for Mic Preamps? I found a design that looks dead simple and has been getting great reviews for it's ability to cancel power supply noise... http://boozhoundlabs.com/microphone-preamp-aikido/images/aikido-mic-pre.jpg But I will probably ru...

Cool Post Mike. I have been wondering this myself, as I have a bit too much RF in the shack as well. I run all the radio and Audio gear into the same power strip. All of the chassis grounds for the Transmitter, Antenna Tuner, and rack go to a single copper bar, through 1/2" tinned copper braid, and ...

Greg is only 20 miles west of me, I got him S8 as well, but I'm off his side.

I'll get in there if the band is still going when I complete this assignment!

College is NOW, the radio will be here in 2 months when I have my degree under my belt!

I am currently hooked up in this order: MXL V57 Condenser Behringer VX-2000 Microphone Preamplifier/Voice Processor Ch.1 Behringer MX-602A Mixer Effects Loop Send Behringer MX-602A Mixer Behringer PEQ-220...

Swap some bypass caps maybe? I don't think running a Condensor in my truck is feasible, but I am willing to gut a Audio Techniques dynamic mic for the element to drop in a hand mic application... :) I also have an old Stereo EQ with the 40 booster on it... If I could unhook the booster portion, I ma...

Thanks Mike,

Yeah.. I just gotta remember to tell them that:

My USB carrier point is good all of my 3.3 kHz on the USB

My LSB is only 3.1 kHz with 200hz bleeding into the USB

and that this was checked after setting up the filters as per the Service Manual
