Greetings My home band is 11 meters SSB free band.Lots of great ESSB folks to talk too.Back in 2011 ( original post ) I was experimenting with two effects back to back.At that time I wanted plating and ultra bass effects at the same time. At the time I was trying in change my normal high pitch voice...

What am I searching for? Most of the folks I hang with can only receive out to 3k or less. They don't care about me using a 6k band width :D I run my station with a 6k eq. That I have spent countless hours working on.My goal is to present the best possible audio for these 3k listeners.I could ...

3k receiver
What if a receiving station was monitoring at 3k wide a 6k wide transmiting station. What sonic differences would the receiving station hear if the transmiting station switched to 3k wide.
Hmm.

Behringer FX2000
Just purchased the new Behringer FX2000. I believe it is the replacement for the popular DSP2024 effects processor. I have been using the 2024 for several years with the " Plate " settings found here on this site. I decided to use both units at the same time. Kept the DSP2024 at the same location, a...

Before you rip everything apart
Audio from the Kenwoods TS950vmsdx monitor was sounding scratchy, and pinched. So I blamed the new compressor purchased on Ebay as the problem. Sent it out for repair. With the Multi band compressor out of line and shipped out the scratchy noise continued, so it was time to blame the the TSM Muneo t...

Voodoo Gear on FM VHF
Finally setup the rack gear to a Icom IC-V8000 2 meter FM radio .
I have been getting good reports on the setup.
Anyone doing the same ?
Any suggestion on a better radio choice for 2 meter FM .
I have a Kenwood TS-950VMSDX for the HF stuff.

When I look back at where I have come from, the two pieces of rack gear that made the biggest change for me was 1st. HHB Radius 20 EQ. 2nd. Bellari RP520 Tube preamp. Both Voodoo-Lab modified. The HHb is real hard to find ,but worth the search. You will have unlimited control with it. :D Lastly when...

Leave it on or off ?
I love the bling with all the tubes , but man does it warm up the sound if you wait !!!! hours......... So, the question is leave the tube stuff on , or turn it off when done. Does it put more stress on the RCA 5751's if you turn them on / off ? Half the rack is electronic stuff, i think if i turn t...
