Regarding the 570, it can go 3K on TX through the front mic connector with an IF filter change. Get a 3 kHz filter from Kenwood parts. YK-88S2 pn L71-0235-05. The BW can go a little wider through the rear data input but a series cap will need to be made larger. I ran a modded 570 for almost a decade...

Its probably not a K3 killer but it might make it bleed! Don't kill Kenwood if its not a killer as Kenwood never said it will. That was started by a ham that posted on Youtube. The ARCP-590 program is free to download from the Kenwood site and it gives you an 18 band graphic EQ for the TX & RX user ...

Well, what can the 950 do on SSB TX & RX for bandwidth? And is it flat?

And did yaesu fix the horrible sounding AM receive fidelity?
