WZ5Q's Studio "X" The Pro Audio "Racks" "My Chilrens" |
This Page will be put together as I build the Station.
This is some of the stuff:
| This is the Down East Microwave 144-28HP 144Mc to 28Mc Transverter. It's got a linear output of approx. 60 watts. I'll be using this with a TS-850s as the lower IF. The reciever uses a GaAs-FET preamplifier, a high level mixer, and a 3 chamber helical filter to ensure an overload
proof front end with great rejection of out of band signals. www.downeastmicrowave.com |
|
| Here's the Kenwood TS-850s with its DSP-100. I run 2 of this combination. One is devoted as a Master Transverter IF, the other for Hi-Fi SSB (or ESSB) and AM on the HF bands. They both have been highly modified in order to perform the best they can for the modes I have devoted the rigs to. | |
| This is a 144Mc, W2GN type amplifier RF Deck. It uses a pair of 4CX400 Tubes in a stripline configuration. It takes an input of 8 watts and amplifies it to around 1KW. This should really get the Array a Glowin!! | |
| Here's the Power Supply for the W2GN Stripline Amplifier. It is mounted in a nice Rack Cabinet that the RF Deck also fits in. It can produce 3KV at about .750Amps. It also houses the "Tetrode Boards" for the 4CX400 protection circuits. |
